Meet noted feminist writer Alix Kates Shulman at The Galaxy Bookshop on Tuesday, June 26th, when she will be reading from and signing copies of her new novel, Menage. This is her first novel in twenty years, following her best-seller Memoirs of an Ex-Prom Queen.

Alix Kates Shulman has been an activist since the 1960s, working and protesting for peace, racial equality, women's and elder's rights, and is an advocate for those with severely disabling brain diseases. Shulman also actively supports the Occupy movement. She is the author of the feminist classic Memoirs of an Ex-Prom Queen and three other novels; three memoirs, including the award-winning Drinking the Rain; and two books on the anarchist Emma Goldman. Her work has been translated into twelve languages, and her essays have appeared in the New York Times, Salon, The Nation, and The Guardian.  She lives in New York City.
